Functions in the Education and Tertiary Education portfolios are funded through Vote Education and appropriations in the Estimates will indicate whether they are the responsibility of the Minister of Education or the Minister for Tertiary Education.
18.The Minister of Education is responsible for the administration of all parts of the Education Act 1989 except for Parts XIII, 13A, XIV, XV, XVI, XVIII,18A, XIX and XXIV [Minister for Tertiary Education], Part XXV (Student Allowances) [Minister for Social Development and Employment], and Part XXVIII (Review of Educational Services) [Minister responsible for the Education Review Office].
