Description:
Responsibilities include the delivery of the government's digital strategy and digital services delivery across government, the regulation of the telecommunications and postal sectors, the roll-out of ultra-fast broadband, rural broadband infrastructure, and radio spectrum management. This portfolio is also responsible for the Government Chief Digital Officer and Government Chief Privacy Officer functions, and for the National Computer Emergency Response Team and some cyber security matters.
Department:
The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, the Department of Internal Affairs and the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet provide support for this portfolio.
