Documents related to a Cabinet paper (such as any attachments, the Cabinet Office summary, and the minute) are all compiled within a container in CabNet called the “submission preview”.
The submission preview is created when a paper is uploaded into CabNet or an item is created against a meeting event.
Documents can be navigated to in the submission view, under the heading ‘Submission Documents’. If a CabNet user has access to a submission, that user will have access to the documents contained in that submission. In some circumstances, a CabNet user may be granted access to a minute only – and not other documents in the associated submission.
Documents are previewed in-system, and the zoom and maximize buttons can be used to optimise the display on-screen. The Download function can be used to display a document as a pdf format.
Printed watermark#
Documents downloaded from CabNet are watermarked with the user’s unique identification number and the date and time that the document was downloaded.
