The 2015 Independent Review of Intelligence and Security was tabled in Parliament on 9 March 2016.
The review makes a number of recommendations to improve the clarity and consistency of the legislative framework governing the intelligence and security agencies. The Government is now considering its response to the review, with the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet leading that response. The public is invited to send comments on the review’s recommendations to [email protected]. These comments will inform both the Government’s response to the review and members of the Intelligence and Security Committee. Please note that the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet is unable to respond to individual emails. You should also be aware that comments made are not covered by parliamentary privilege and may be subject to release under the Official Information Act 1982, although certain details may be withheld to protect privacy.
