The last two quarters have seen a reduction in the number of children and young people with serious and persistent offending behaviour, including a reduction of 49 children and young people since the last quarterly report.

The New Zealand Crime and Victims’ Survey (NZCVS) shows ~10,000 fewer adults experienced violent crime since the last quarterly report; a reduction of ~24,000 since the peak in June 2024.

Prolonged economic conditions have continued to increase flows of people onto Jobseeker Support, with an increase of 8,500 since the last quarterly report.
