Emissions projections give confidence that Target 9 can be achieved. On track to achieve EB1, and EB2 can be met with the implementation of additional policies in Emissions Reduction Plan 2 (announced December 2024).

Summary of the Government Targets Quarterly Reports for the quarter to March 2025.

Improved quarterly results and improved results compared with the same quarter in the prior year.

Results have declined compared to the previous quarter and the same quarter in the prior year.

Target on track. A continued reduction in the number of children and young people with serious and persistent offending behaviour, with a reduction of 32 since the last quarterly report.

Target was met in February 2025. There has been a reduction of ~28,000 adults experiencing violent crime from the baseline.

3,500 fewer people on Jobseeker Support Benefit since the last report.

Improvement from Term 4 2023 to Term 4 2024. Schools are submitting their daily attendance data, which is published for schools, parents and the public to view.

Good progress by schools implementing curriculum changes in Term 1, 2025 and delivering on the Government’s Maths Action Plan including new Maths resources and supports for over 600,000 students.

Target was met in December 2024. The number of households in emergency housing has reduced by 83% from baseline. As of 31 March, 972 Priority One households (with 2,055 children) have been housed in a social housing tenancy.

The Quarterly Reports are produced to support the Government Targets and contain information on progress toward those targets.
